President Michael Beveridge opened the 4th meeting of the month of the Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake.   Michaels last meeting of his Rotary Presidency.  He got it right.  The club with high altitude attitude!

Olav Lindstrom – The Swede.  Back in the Country again and will be consulting in Highland.
Dinner Buffet:
Chicken Tenders, Fish and Chips.  Cole slaw and desert.  Good food great fellowship.
Fundraiser won by Andy Brakebill who donated the money to Interact.  A good Rotarian.
Jim Miller warned that there may not be a flyover this year at the fireworks.  Politics!  Working with the local military bases to see if we can get a flyover by someone!
Ron Peavy – Need signups for BBQ.  405 tickets have been sold. 78 VIP and 81 reserved.  Total number of tickets is 1200.  We are on track.
Andy Suhay the sales for the fireworks is above budget.  Come join us to build the barge.  If you worked last year then you are signed up for this year.  DON’T forget this.  Everybody turns out for the Barge.
Dave Caretto:  Mihalo, Bob Wood, John Vos Memorial and Rotary club scholarships totaled $18,700.  Dave presented Certificates of appreciation from Big Bear High School.

Charlie Brewster – Grizzly there was a picture of your family.  Two granddaughters.  Graduated with honors at the Middle School.  On the way to high school. $20.
John Friel – Special recognition – Hospital CEO the longest lasting one.  $20 bucks. 
Dave Caretto – New honcho of morning meeting – Helen Walsh – Blind leading the blind.  $20.  (PS: Helen is legally blind and a good sport)
John Niederkorn – Traveling, Fishing and coming home with major fishing tales.  Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho.  The biggest fish caught and documented was a 21” brown trout.  The fish was caught in Idaho the fish.  Kathy Niederkorn now aspires to be a fly fisherwoman.  PH  Check for $100.  Great!
Segway to all Paul Harris folks wearing the medal sit down.  $5.00 from those who did not wear their medals.   
Maria Martell – Wardrobe mal function back of dress not fully zipped.  Who noticed it?  Dick Shaw $5.00 for being the good Samaritan.  Dick Shaw’s Birthday June 26.  $20. 
Andy Suhay – man in the red.  Last night Ron was chastised for not returning email.  $5.00. 
 
This was the 4th meeting of the month and there was no planned speaker.  A great time was had by all.  You should have received an invitation to the DeBunking by now.  Please RSVP to Dawn.  This is a Spouses/Partners night and will feature Michael Beveridge (Out) and Keenan Warner (In) as President of the Big Bear Lake Rotary Club for 2017-2018.  Great DeBunking Planned. Due to the fire Chris Costlow has been driving and looking for places to put the trash.  The fire has caused many disruptions.  Thanks Chris for you and your staff of operations and drivers.
