President: Keenan Warner opened the Meeting of the Big Bear Lake Rotary Club.  The Rotary club with the highest altitude and the can do attitude.

Announcements:
  1. 4-way test speech contest winners will be at the April 19th Evening meeting.  This is a spouses/partners meeting.  Wear your Paul Harris Medal.
  2. RYLA Students had a great three days learning Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. 
  3. May 26 and 27th the Visitors Bureau sponsors the KC BBQ Championship.  We are pouring beer and getting AT LEAST 10% of the take.  Easy Peasy Money Honey!  Sign up sheets will be forthcoming. 
  4. Re-structuring of the Rotary Club Administration are huge YES votes. 
  5. There will be a Fundraiser for Nick Caretto who has Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  Wednesday, April 11 at Nottinghams 5:30 PM.  $60 per person or $100 per couple.  “Heavy” Appetizers and 1 drink ticket.  RSVP by April 4 to Kristine Yoshida 909-556-5483.  If you cannot attend: GOFUNDME.com/NickCaretto.
  6. An evening mixer with the Rotary Club of Desert Hot Springs on Saturday, June 2 at the Lodge.  We are paying for the room.  A $10 donation would be welcome.  Try to attend.
  7. District Conference, May 18-21 (Sunday, the 21st if you desire).
  8. Dick Shaw will be the new Youth Exchange Officer taking over from Mike Chilcoat.
  9. Andy Brakebill is the new Youth Officer (Interact) and Julann Warren is the Interact Advisor.
  10. The Next BOD meeting is Monday, April 2, 2018 at Keenan’s House 1032 Heritage Cr, East Sugarloaf.  6:00 PM.
Dinner:  Salmon (Excellent), Green Beans, Saffron rice, Dinner Rolls and Cheesecake with Chocolate swirl and strawberry slices.
Keenan: Too many bad Dental Jokes.  Dr. Davis started the program in 1999.  Bear Valley Dentists provide State mandated Dental Screening, Pro Bono    Six dentists and assistants screened over 600 students.  Kindergarten, Third and Sixth.  THANK YOU.

Lucinda Newton: from the School District.  Nice thank you from the School District to all the Participating Dentists, Staff Assistants and Rotarians. 
Dr. Yoshida spoke and thanked all of the Dentists and Rotarians who participated in the Screening. 
President Keenan thanked Andy Suhay for his great organization and work with the Dental program. 
Garry Dokter Made some suggestions for follow up for those kids that really need dental care.  Andy Suhay stated that there would be a debriefing and a study of the results of the screening. 
John Friel reported on the Rural Dental Office in Bear City.  There is a grant, a nurse and the state has money. 
Ron Peavy spoke to the dental situation.  Parents are sometimes the problem when they will not help their children to get dental care. 
Recognition:
  1. Jim Miller should be a happy man.  March 31s and March 24th.  Anniversary and Retirement!  Unknown amount of cash!
  2. Lucinda Norton:  Dr. Suzuki was to give us a $100.  She sent Lucinda!!.  Lucinda doesn’t have it.  Mary will be kept in the Fine Haired Fellows sights!
  3. March 24th for Jim and John Friel.  Birthdays of the wives.  $20 from Jim Miller and $20 from John Friel.  John said that Connie was 20 years old!  Jim miller will retire from the city on March 31st
  4. Andy Suhay:  Wrong Andy.  Actually, it was Andy Brakebill!  Ron Peavy was set up.  $5.00. 
  5. Kristina and Keenan Warner.  UCLA women’s Basketball got dismantled by Mississippi State Bulldogs.  $100?  To be continued!
  6. Money was needed and President Keenan asked Ron Peavy for the $15!  Actually, was $10 and Ron gave Keenan $5.00 back.  When you figure it out let me know!
  7. Jim and Sandy Will be Grandparents $10. 
  8. The Comedy Team of Keenan and Ron.  Anniversary of Ron and Elena.  $43 demanded.  Ron said he would give a check to TRF via Garry Dokter.
  9. Spinner Numbers came up for Jim Miller and Dick Shaw.  Toys, paper and wine
