OTHER UPDATES
  • Clifford shared that there will be NO Car Club Show or Fun Run this year.
  • Cliff Fowler gave us an update on the Barge. Jeff Martin, Pyro, delivered 31 8” tubes—15 in racks for the July 4 Fireworks Show plus several sheets of plywood (@ $80/sheet).  In preparation for this show, there will be a work party this Thursday (June 17) @ 7:30 A.M.  Your assistance is needed.  Ron was asked to send around a sign-up sheet.
 
  • BBHS Rotary Scholarship acknowledgements were given to the recipients last week.
 
  • Reminders for Graduation Parking were presented.
 
  • Helen Walsh gave an update on Dave Caretto.  Dave has resigned @ Mayor and a member of the city council due to health concerns.
 
  • Storage Containers:  Exploring purchasing a storage container to eliminate our current storage rental ($170/month)
 
BOARD MEETING (6/7) UPDATE
  • Venues for meetings.  President Dawn encouraged members to think about different venues such for unique meetings (ex. Touring the Zoo to see our donation, etc.)
  • Noon meeting? Evening meeting? Member will be surveyed regarding their preference.
  • Future meetings will be hybrid—in-person and zoom.
  • Boat parties:  looking @ having boat parties in lieu of a traditional meeting on last Thursday of the month.
  • New member orientations will happen after we have in-person meeting.
  • Treasurer’s report:  the club is solvent.
  • Paul Harris:  the board is looking @ thresholds for number of points + cash to be a recipient.
  • Andy Brakebill gave an update on Interact—an incredibly successful year (fundraising & projects) despite the issues surrounding COVID—GREAT job Andy & Interact.
