Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

My Dear Rotarian buds and buddettes, I want to wish you a (belated) Happy New Year.  Lindy and I attended the Rose parade on Monday along with Dave and Cindy Caretto and Rick and Cindy Herrick.  Gloria Meade (LONG time parade volunteer) got us seats in the grandstand at the very start of the parade and Lindy and I were actually seen on TV.  Pretty cool.

Anyway, I hope this coming year brings you the important things in life: health, love and happiness...along with a re-vitalized desire to put service above self.  I have 6 more months as your president, and I intend to re-double my efforts to make this club meaningful to our community and to YOU.  Please remember that Rotary depends on YOU and your efforts.

We have the Sweetheart Ball (Helen Walsh), the dental program and the 4th of July (Ron Peavy needs to find a replacement chair) coming up.  Let's all pull together and work together to make good things happen.  Also remember that our noon meetings will now be at the Mountain Café and our morning meetings will be at Barnstorm.  Our evening meetings for January 4, 11 and 18 will be at Nottinghams, but after that....well, as soon as I know I will let YOU know.

Here's to you, 2018 and service to Rotary.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year - 2018!

The new year is here!  The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake wishes its members and people around Bear Valley and the world a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year.  Feliz Ano Nuevo Y un Prospero Ano Nuevo.  Let us reflect on the new year with our eye toward the future and how we can and DO make the world a better place for everyone in it.  Hope you enjoyed the Rotary Float at the Rose Parade.  It was #49.  It won the trophy for the best float under 35'.

From the Rotary International Family to each and every one of you and yours... A heartfelt Happy New Year.
