PROGRAM

McKinley Warren was our program.  McKinley was an Outbound Exchange Student to Thailand last year.  She shared her experiences, challenges and successes.  McKinley chose Thailand because she wanted to be challenged knowing that the language and customs would provide an opportunity for her personal growth. Club members submitted many questions and McKinley did a great job of answering the varied questions providing us insight into her wonderful experience.

She plans to a Performing Arts Conservatory in Los Angeles in the fall focusing on her voice and instrumental skills.

CLUB DISCUSSION (next page)

President Page reminded everyone that the Annual Rotary July 4 BBQ has been CANCELLED. Should the July 4 Fireworks Show be rescheduled, a Rotary BBQ/fundraiser would be considered but for now we can focus on the Fireworks Show.  Everyone is encouraged  to sign up to prepare the barge for the extravaganza.  The city will make a final decision on the July 4 event at a Special Meeting on June 19th.

Interact:  the Interact is still planning to provide parking @ the FFB.  In addition to this event, the Interact Club is assisting with the DISTRIBUTION OF FACIAL COVERINGS in the village (Copper Q & the Christmas Tree Lot) on Sat and Sunday (10-5) through June.  The plan is to have 2.5 hour shifts each day.  Andy Brakebill asked that Rotarians volunteer to chaperone the students.  Andy can be contacted @ (760) 409-8156 or andy@paprinter.net

Million Meals: Helen Walsh shared that she has submitted a Grant Request to supplement on the ongoing need to supply food for our local families.

District 5330: Dick Shaw shared that some Inbound and Outbound exchange students thave not been able to travel to the U S or from the U S to their home countries.
